Music: Project Polaroid
I finished the manuscript of my book in June, but I took the summer off to recuperate. It took six months of writing to finish the manuscript and it took a lot out of me, but I'm off the couch mentally and am currently in the middle of the first edit. I haven't done much writing at all in any format since I finished it, but now I'm at the point where I need to, which bodes well for the athenaverse.
I can see now I needed the time off even though I felt guilty for needing it. Reading the manuscript for the first time as a whole, I am really impressed with myself. When I finish shining it up, I have met an editor who is interested in working with me and giving it a professional once-over. Pretty soon, the manuscript will be ready to be sent out to publishers or perhaps even self-published.
Every minute I spend writing is one minute that brings me closer to achieving escape velocity from the work-a-day world. I have so much writing to do, so many films to make, so many other art projects to embark upon, and the athenaverse is my soapbox that I can stand on and tell everyone what I am up to.
The fire is back. Stay tuned.
